Update 12.22.07

Friends and Family,

We hope this e-card finds you well.  Carolyn and I wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas.

We've been blessed with an incredible year, and when trying to find a way to share a quick update, Liz (Carolyn's mom) came up with an interesting way to classify our adventures.  She recommended we look at the different modes of transportation we've used.  Sounded like a unique premise -- so we thought we'd give it a shot.  Since our last update letter in 2006, we've been lucky enough to travel via:

Feet (our most frequent approach in the very walkable city of Philadelphia)
Ice Hockey Skates (go Wharton Wildmen)
Mountaineering Cramp-ons (climbing Mt. Cotopaxi and Rainier)
Bikes (yes, I get to school the same way at 30 as I did at 8)
    Kayaks (in Seattle's Portage Bay)
Gondolas (through the canals of Ljubljana Slovenia)
    Golf carts (90 degree rule)
Mopeds (around the islands of Korcula Croatia and Whidbey Washington)
Jeeps (is offroading allowed in a rental? Sorry Hertz Maui office)
    Commercial Airlines (peanuts anyone?)
    Trains (throughout Europa)
    Subways (around Philadelphia and NYC)
Ferries (between the islands of the Pacific Northwest)
Fishing boats (Block Island Rhode Island w/ friends)
Sea Planes (over Lake Coeur d'Alene Idaho on our 1st anniversary)
    Submarines (in Hawaii w/ family)

Unfortunately, the world travels listed above are not completely representative of our more humble, grad student life.  Carolyn is enjoying her career in the internet space helping build an online ticketing provider in Philadelphia at www.TicketLeap.com.  I'm half way through my second year of the MBA program at Wharton and interviewing for a full-time position in real estate principle investing.  To help stay in touch with family and friends, we try to keep www.troydaniel.com up-to-date, so stop by for more pictures and updates.

Please stay in touch.

...and a happy New Year,
Troy and Carolyn Daniel
